Since 2020, when COVID-19 exposed the private school teacher as one sailing without an anchor, the challenges facing educators in private institutions became more evident than ever before. The pandemic left many private school teachers without salaries, job security, or support systems, forcing countless dedicated professionals to abandon the profession in search of financial stability. Today, the exodus continues, as many struggle with poor wages, lack of benefits, and inadequate working conditions.
This crisis gave birth to a renewed sense of purpose—the Private School Teachers Association Nigeria (PSTAN).
We flagged off Private School Teachers Association P-STAn on World Teachers’ Day, October 5th.
P-STAn was officially registered with the CAC on 22/11/2024.
